Terms and Conditions for Tendring School of Motoring

These Terms and Conditions apply to all driving lessons and services provided by Tendring School of Motoring. By booking lessons or using our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

Driving lessons

  • All lessons are conducted by a qualified driving instructor.

  • Lesson duration, frequency, and location will be agreed in advance.

  • Pupils must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and be legally entitled to drive.

  • The instructor reserves the right to refuse or terminate a lesson if a pupil’s behaviour is unsafe or inappropriate.

Lesson fees and payment

  • Lesson prices will be agreed at the time of booking.

  • Payment is required in advance unless otherwise agreed.

  • Block bookings may be offered at a discounted rate and must be used within the agreed timeframe.

  • Prices may be subject to change, but any changes will not affect lessons already booked and paid for.

Cancellations and missed lessons

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice for lesson cancellations or changes.

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be charged in full.

  • Missed lessons or late arrivals by the pupil may result in reduced lesson time or full charge.

  • If Tendring School of Motoring needs to cancel a lesson, we will provide as much notice as possible and offer a replacement lesson or refund.

Punctuality

  • Lessons will start and end at the agreed time.

  • If a pupil is late, lesson time may be reduced accordingly.

  • If the instructor is late, the full lesson time will still be provided.

Driving tests

  • Use of the instructor’s vehicle for a driving test is subject to availability and instructor approval.

  • The pupil must be test-ready and meet DVSA requirements.

  • Any test fees charged by the DVSA are separate from lesson fees.

  • If a test is cancelled at short notice by the pupil, charges may still apply.

Vehicle use

  • The instructor’s vehicle is fully insured for driving instruction.

  • Pupils must follow the instructor’s instructions at all times.

  • Smoking, vaping, alcohol, or drug use before or during lessons is strictly prohibited.

  • Lessons may be terminated without refund if the pupil is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Health and safety

  • Pupils must inform the instructor of any medical conditions that may affect their ability to drive safely.

  • It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure they are fit to drive.

Website use

  • The content on this website is provided for general information only.

  • We make reasonable efforts to keep information up to date, but do not guarantee accuracy or completeness.

  • Unauthorised use of website content may give rise to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

Liability

  • Tendring School of Motoring will not be liable for any loss or damage except where required by law.

  • Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
